(pronounced with a long E), and I’m really excited you’re here! I'm the founder and CEO of The Energy Exchange.
I created this space because as I circulate my support through circles of Black women, the conversations that I'm having with you all has revealed a significant need in our community. There’s a need for mentorship, a need for support, a need for real resources, and to simply have a space to exchange ideas and talk freely about navigating through this life as Black women with the women who are in the trenches with you. We're going to get to know each other and be the community we need to encourage us to keep at it. I may have started this but it is truly for US by US (shout out to FUBU). Through this community, you’ll be the first to hear about upcoming events, new resources, social media tips to help build your brand, and much more.
A bit about me… I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. I’m a Black woman, a mom, a wife, and a thriving corporate dropout. After 20 years of working a 9 to 5, I quit my job to pursue something new & totally out of my wheelhouse. Corporate…WASN’T IT, for me. I’ve always craved the opportunity to be amazing, and after so many years I realized I was never going to find it in a cubicle. In 2016, at almost 40 years old, I decided to take my life back.
An amazing INDEPENDENTLY WEALTHY woman offered me an unexpected opportunity, and I jumped in head first! The task? Online community management. I had never done anything in this arena. Yet, here I was, engaging with 50,000 phenomenal women- providing counsel, support, and resources. It was an organic exchange and it felt like home. As I continued my journey, chasing that feeling, I realized that I was not alone. There are so many women JUST LIKE ME- looking for a tribe, taking control of their lives, and not needing approval to enjoy it.
It had finally clicked and I haven’t looked back. I found my calling and I’m living my life, on my terms. Sure, living on my terms can be challenging, but I have created a business that I am proud of. Building a community that gives women who look like me, a space to root for one another and work together to reach their highest goals. I know the power of a dynamic social circle and I want to do my part to create an environment where we can connect as women, support as mentors, and thrive as fully realized divine feminine beings.

I wrote this book because there was a point in my life when I was feeling VERY stuck with no plan on how to get unstuck. I thought there was no way out. But I was wrong. In these 25 pages, I talk about how re-framing my thinking, trusting my capabilities, and leaping out of my comfort zone allowed me to create the life I deserve. I’ve also included journal prompts that will allow you to reimagine and redefine what living your best life looks like, to you. I hope you enjoy it.
